DOTFLOX contains “Ciprofloxacin Lactate” is bactericidal in nature and broad spectrum in activity. DOTFLOX selectively inhibits D.N.A gyrase enzyme necessary for formation of D.N.A strands of chromosomes & helical formations. Bactericidal action is by degradation of D.N.A & lysis of bacterial cell.

When given I.V in severe cases the suggested dose is diluted with Normal Saline, Dextrose Saline or Ringer Lactate solution as a slow drip (In large animals 30 ml. “DOTFLOX” is diluted with 540 ml of any one of the infusions and given as slow I.V).
“It is advisable that the drug should be injected at 2 to 3 different sites when the intramuscular route of administration is chosen”.
