DESCRIPTION:
Veterinary Sulphadimidine is a chemotherapeutic with bacteriostatic action against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and against certain protozoa like Eimeria and Isospora species.
COMPOSITION:
Each 3 ml Contains:
Sulphadimidine Sodium I.P. 1 gm.
Water for Injection I.P. q.s.
INDICATION:
Sulfadimidine is also effective against a wide variety of diseases in food-proucing animals. Common therapeutic uses in chickens include:control of the infectious coryza;coccidiosis;acute fowl cholera; and pullorum disease.Common therapeutic uses in turkeys include: control of coccidiosis.
USES:
Sulfadimidine is one of the most widely used sulfonamide drugs in veterinary medicines,particularly in pig production,where it is employed to combat respiratory
disease.
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION:
Large Animals:
Initial Dose: 15-30 ml per 50 kgs body weight.
Half the above dose should be asministered at a interval of 24 hrs. for 4-7 days.
ROUTE:
For IV / IM / SC / I/Peritoneal Injections use.
