SULPHADOT Sulphadimidine Injection
SULPHADOT contains Veterinary SULPHADIMIDINE is a chemotherapeutic with bacteriostatic action against many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria and against certain protozoa like Eimeria and Isospora species. SULPHADIMIDINE is clear colourless sterile injectable solution. SULPHADIMIDINE is a member of the Sulfonamide group of antibiotics. It exerts its bacteriostatic effect by interfering with the biosynthesis of folic acid in susceptible bacteria. SULPHADIMIDINE competes with Paraminobenzoic Acid for the enzyme dihydropterate synthetase.
COMPOSITION :-
Each 3 ml Contains:
Sulphadimidine Sodium I.P. 1 gm.
INDICATION :-
- Haemorrhagic septicaemia
- Foot rot
- Bronchopneumonia
- Calf diphtheria
- Calf Diarrhoea
- Bacterial enteritis
- Actinobacillosis
- Metritis
- Mastitis
- Coccidiosis
DOSE & ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION :-
By I.V, S.C route.
Large Animals:
Initial Dose : 15-30 ml / 50 kg body weight.
Half the above dose should be administered at a interval of 24 hrs for 4-7 days.

As Directed by the Veterinarian.
