AMIDOT Amikacin Sulphate Injection
AMIDOT contains drug AMIKACIN SULPHATE is a broad spectrum, bactericidal, water soluble antibiotic. It has remarkable resistance to enzymes that inactive the other aminoglycosides. AMIKACIN SULPHATE has high activity against stubborn Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Klebsella pneumonia infections. It has low clinical incidence of resistance. Significant concentrations in serum, synovial, peritoneal fluids and endometrial tissue. It has high degree of activity against bacterial isolates responsible for repeat breeding.
COMPOSITION :-
Each ml contains:
Amikacin Sulphate
eqv. to Amikacin activity 500 mg
INDICATION :-
- Septicaemia
- Bacterial endometritis
- Pneumonia
- Septicaemia
- Peritonitis
- Osteomyelitis
- Soft tissue infections
- Mastitis
- Cystitis
DOSE & ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION :-
Large Animals :
By I.M route only.
5 ml Twice Daily followed by single injection for 1 – 2 days
OR
As Directed by the Veterinarian.
Repeat Breeders :
Deep I.U route only.
5 ml diluted with 10 – 15 ml of sterile distilled water for 2 days
Calves, Dog & Cat :
By I.M or S.C route only.
0.5 – 1.5 ml at interval of 12 hours for 3 – 5 days
OR
As directed by the Veterinarian.
