FRUVET contains drug FUROSEMIDE is used in dogs and cats to promote diuresis and manage fluid retention.
COMPOSITION :–
Each ml contains:
Furosemide I.P 50 mg
Benzyl Alcohol I.P 1% v/v
(As preservative)
Water for Injection I.P q.s.
INDICATION :-
- Subcutaneous oedema
- Congestive oedema
- Protein deficiency oedema
- Oedema due to vascular lesions
- Pathological oedema
- Ascites
- Hydrothorax
- Bronchopneumonia
- Hydropericardium
- Laminitis
- Paralytic myoglobinuria
- False pregnancy
DOSE & ROUTE OF ADMINISTRATION :-
By I.M or I.V route only.
Large Animal : 5 – 10 ml
Dog & Cat : 0.25 – 0.5 ml
Pig : 1 ml / 10 kg b.wt.
Treatment may be repeated at 6 – 8 hour interval, if needed.
