Description
MILKDOT is liquid calcium for cow that helps with boosting milk production and preventing milk fever in postpartum cows.
Milk synthesis is a highly demanding process in cows. The increased demand will render the cow low in calcium during the initial lactation stage. Cows require about two to three times of regular calcium needs. Compared to pregnant cows, postpartum cows need more calcium in their body. More importantly, the increase in calcium demand must be addressed quickly post-birth and depleted calcium must be supplemented properly. The metabolic adaptation of such a large magnitude is effectively addressed using MILKDOT. It prevents hypocalcaemia, which is more commonly called milk fever in cows.
Blood calcium levels reach the lowest point within 12 to 24 hours after calving. The calcium levels self-regulate, and they will return to normal levels within 2-3 days. Some of the cow breeds are more affected by this problem. The only way to solve this problem of lower calcium availability postpartum is to provide adequate calcium replacement for milking cows. The blood calcium levels depend on the amount of calcium, vitamins, and minerals present postpartum. MILKDOT greatly alleviates the stress of farmers because this supplement meets the increased calcium needs.
Liquid-based supplements are more useful because you don’t have to worry about the right way to feed these supplements. Adding to existing feed and water will make your cows stronger. It will also result in the formation of strong bones. It greatly helps boost calcium levels in calves due to the increased calcium levels in colostrums and cow milk. Apart from the health of cows immediately after postpartum, MILKDOT aids in future milk production. It also boosts reproductive performance.
