 Electric Dehorner (Debudding)

The Electric calf dehorner is a good dehorning instrument for dehorning the young calf. This newly developed temp. Controlled electric dehorner makes the dehorning job easy and reliable over the conventional method of dehorning. The ring temp. reaches the proper temperature (over 500ºC) in a few minutes after it is plugged into the electric outlet. It has automatic heat control for the correct, steady heat at all times. This high, controlled heat kills all the horn cells around the base of the horn. These cells extend out from the horn base about ¼ to ½ inch, depending on the age of the calf.

Main Features

It is fitted with a very special type of brass casted high watt density heater of about 200watt. It has very long life as compared to conventional dehorners and fast heating. The heater is also designed for wide operating voltage of 200-240 AC

Dehorning ring’s inside diameter is ¾” and out side diameter about 1 ¾” is perfect for applying uniform heat at the base of the Horn to surly kill all the horn cells.

The dehorner is provided with thermostatic temp. control for the ring temp. at 500-550ºC and to increase the life of the heater. The thick brass casting provide huge amount of latent heat and avoids the dehorner from cooling or temp. lose on applying to the animal.

It is provided with strong and sturdy non metallic handle for shock resistance and heat resistance. The handle is also specially designed with ribbed grip for strong and safe griping.

The complete instrument is very light weight approx 750 gms. and heat up fast within 5 minutes over that needs to be applied only for 10 seconds.
